Terms of Service

1. Who can sign up

Wizarding Quizbook accounts may only be created and managed by adults — typically a parent or legal guardian. Children should not create their own accounts. By creating an account you confirm you are 18 or older and that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you set up.

2. The account & child profile

You may create one parent account and one or more child profiles. Each profile holds a wizard name, a chosen house, reading progress, and unlocked creatures. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for any activity that happens under them.

3. Subscription & billing

Wizarding Quizbook offers a paid subscription called Grand Wizard:

• Monthly plan — $4.99 / month
• Yearly plan — $39.99 / year (works out to about $3.33 / month)

New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. After the trial, the plan you chose is billed automatically by the App Store or Google Play and renews until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your device’s subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Prices may change. If we change the price of an existing plan, we will notify you in advance via the email on file and through the App Store / Google Play, and the new price will only apply on the next renewal — never retroactively.

4. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refunds are handled by them, not by Lumencrest. To request a refund:

• Apple: open reportaproblem.apple.com on a Mac or iPhone, sign in, find the charge, and request a refund.
• Google Play: open Google Play, go to Account → Order history, select the charge, and request a refund.

We can’t issue store-channel refunds directly. If you want help with a problem before contacting the store, email hello@wizardingquizbook.com and we’ll do our best.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app to harass, harm, or attempt to identify other users.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except as allowed by law.
• Scrape or automate the app, including its sight-word data, beyond personal in-app reading.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your account or subscription.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.

6. Content ownership

All content in the app — the artwork, story copy, sight-word lists, creature designs, sigils, and the Lumencrest Academy worldbuilding — is owned by Premier 99 Software LLC and licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use as part of your subscription.

You retain ownership of content you create (a child’s wizard name, for example). By entering it, you grant us a limited license to store and display it inside the app for the purpose of running the service.

7. Disclaimers & warranties

The app is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. While we take pains to keep the app working and the content age-appropriate, we don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to a particular educational outcome. Reading is a journey, and adult guidance still helps.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lumencrest’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits — in those places, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

9. Termination

You can cancel your subscription anytime through the App Store or Google Play, and delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you by email at the address on file and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use after notice means acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tooele County, Utah, and you consent to that venue.
