Every wizard finds
their House.

Chapter II · How it works

A real reading curriculum
disguised as an adventure.

Step One

Sort into a House

A short ritual on day one places your wizard in Emberwing, Tidecaller, Thornroot, or Starforge. Their journey begins.

Step Two

Cast spells daily

Words are spells. Tap each syllable, read aloud, hear it click. Five minutes turns into fifteen — every time.

Step Three

Collect & ascend

Master a word and a creature appears. Brew potions of knowing, duel rivals in the arena, climb through six academy chambers. Reading becomes the reward.

For Parents

Parent gate built in

A math check protects the parent dashboard, paywall, and settings — kids can’t wander into anything they shouldn’t.

See the progress

Words mastered, accuracy, daily streak, and a 7-day reading-time chart, all in the parent dashboard.

Built on the Fry list

Words drawn from the Fry sight-word curriculum used in U.S. K–3 classrooms — practiced one syllable at a time.

Chapter III · The Bestiary

Master a word.
Meet a creature.

24 magical creatures hide in the spellbook, each tied to a reading milestone. Your child remembers every one.

A note from the team

Why we built
Wizarding Quizbook.

We wanted a reading app our own kids would open without being asked. The trick wasn’t cleverer worksheets — it was a world worth coming back to. Every word is a spell. Every milestone unlocks a creature. Every house earns its name. Reading shouldn’t feel like homework, it should feel like a story your child gets to be inside.

Common spells of inquiry

Questions, answered.

What ages is Wizarding Quizbook for?
Designed for ages 5 to 9, from pre-readers to fluent third graders. The curriculum adapts to each child’s reading level — they pick up where they left off the next time they play.
What does the reading curriculum cover?
Words are drawn from the Fry sight-word list — the same 1,000 high-frequency words used across U.S. K–3 classrooms. Each word ships with syllable breakdowns and an example sentence so kids practice decoding, not just memorization. We add new tiers in every release.
How is my child’s privacy protected?
COPPA-compliant from day one. The only data we store is what the account needs: a parent email, a child’s wizard name, the house they picked, and their reading progress. No ads. No social features. No third-party trackers. No data sold or shared.
What if my child doesn’t like it?
Cancel anytime, including during the 7-day free trial. After the trial, refunds are handled by Apple — open a Mac or iPhone, go to Report a Problem, and they’ll usually issue one within a few minutes.
Does it work offline?
The core lesson loop needs a connection to load new words and save progress. We’re working on offline caching for v1.1.
Is there a separate parent app?
No — it’s built into the same app. Tap Profile → Parent Dashboard, solve the math gate, and you’ll see daily streaks, words mastered, accuracy, and a 7-day reading-time chart.
